Life can have times of challenge. I am here to provide a supportive place for you to build your resilience and discover the resources that may feel hidden within yourself.   To feel comfortable to be creative and to be able to explore, I know that you need to feel secure and safe with me. Building trust can take time, but it is the foundation of a ‘good enough’ relationship in therapy. I work to ensure your security online as I am a trained online therapist, and I also train other psychotherapists and counsellors to work securely online.   I specialise in the following areas:
  • Trauma
  • Grief and loss
  • Children and Young People
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Neurological Diversity, including Autism Spectrum Conditions such as Asperger’s
  • Developing resources for resilience, including Trauma-sensitive mindfulness practices
I also train therapists to work online with The Academy and am the Vice-Principal of the Academy for Online Counselling and Therapy, AOCT. I really enjoy training other therapists to work securely online and for them to discover their creativity in the online setting.   I am also a Director with responsibility for Children and Young People for the Board of Directors of the Professional body, The Association for Counsellors and Therapists Online, ACTO.   My professional body is the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP membership number 00682449)

I am a counsellor specialising in working with anxiety. I offer long and short term counselling to adults through online video sessions via Zoom. Do you struggle with anxiety? Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or having trouble sleeping? Maybe you are feeling 'off', and want to feel like yourself again? Counselling can help. I provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore yourself with someone who is unrelated to your personal life and who won’t judge you.   I offer a free, 15-minute phone consultation when you contact me as I believe it’s important to find a counsellor you feel comfortable with. We will talk about what is troubling you and how I may be able to help.   At our first session, I will ask you some questions to help me understand how I can help you to find a way forward with your problems. During sessions, I will listen to you with the aim of helping you feel clearer about the extent and effect of your problems, and to help you recognise possible solutions. I work in a warm, understanding way to help you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to achieve your goals. I may offer ideas to work on outside of the sessions, such as keeping a journal or carrying out exercises.   Please do get in touch if you have any questions or to book in your free phone consultation.
