I love working as an online therapist and have successfully worked with clients from many parts of the world. Do feel free to contact me for more information.
Whether you live abroad, or have difficulty accessing help, or prefer seeing a therapist online: receiving therapy online can be very rewarding and creative. I can help with anxiety, depression, panic, bereavement, or gender dysphoria and many other issues.
I am also qualified and experienced as an online supervisor and qualified to provide virtual reality therapy using avatars through ProReal. I am also Vice Chair of ACTO.
I originally trained in a psychodynamic way but now I prefer to work in the way that seems appropriate to and for you, the client. This is called an integrative way of working as it calls on many psychotherapy traditions and techniques. I do not do any face to face work now, I only work therapeutically online.
I leave the format I use for the work for you to choose: the most important thing is that you make the choice and are happy with that, and of course we can change format. We can worth by video, audio, live chat, email or virtual reality. I always use Zoom.
I work online because that’s what I love doing and can see how successful it is for my clients. You shouldn’t expect miracles, and you may feel worse before you feel better, but I will support you through these stages and have 30+ years’ experience of working successfully with clients.
I believe strongly that depression and anxiety are symptoms not the cause and once we’ve worked to make you feel more in control of yourself then the longer-term work starts to look at what led to the problem, so that you’ll be better in charge of yourself in future.
I use tests known as CORE Net which will help both you and me to see your progress and the ups and downs you may be experiencing ….
I have always believed that that most of the time you have the answers within you and you just need a supporter to walk alongside you (virtually in this case!), supporting whilst you explore whatever it is that troubles you.
So apart from my therapy work, I am passionate about helping the online profession grow. I teach a diploma course in online counselling & psychotherapy, and am the Vice Chair for the Association for Therapy & Counselling Online and Psychotherapy Director for Dr Julian.
If you’re interested in reading more about online therapy I am author/editor of Psychotherapy 2.0: where Psychotherapy and Technology Meet (Karnac, 2014) as well as series editor for the Karnac Psychotherapy 2.0 series.

I have been working therapeutically online since 2014 when I qualified as an online therapist. And I love working therapeutically online. I work using www.zoom.us which is a secure live chat and video conferencing platform and it’s you who makes the decision about which way you’d like to work. I work with clients in many different countries and wide a variety of issues or problems. I would encourage you to just book one session with me first to see if you like the way I work.
For our online work, I provide online psychological support and therapy online in the format that you, the client, prefers.
You can choose between email (500 words, or about 50 minutes writing), or live chat (text-based), or video conferencing using a camera and microphone.
For live chat and video conferencing I use www.zoom.us as it the high level of confidentiality required for online therapy. Also I find that the sound and picture quality is better than on any other system.
