People come to therapy because they want something to change. I work alongside clients, both online and face to face in the Woking area, supporting them to look at what is happening from different perspectives and to consider what is most important for them in their lives. Life is rich in differences, there are many ways of living it; my counselling focuses on what feels best for you.
I am an existential therapist, working in a person-centred way.
What this means in practice is we look at what things mean to you, where those thoughts might have come from and whether that way of thinking and decisions based on it are still useful for you, given what you want from life now.
We work towards what you hope to achieve from therapy and with what you bring to the sessions. A calm place to talk and be heard is so important and, for some, Counselling is their first experience of having that kind of space. We will try to open new ways for you to look at your issues so you can decide what makes sense to you and whether and where you want to go with that.
There are many ways to access what is going on for you, how you understand it and the different choices available. We will use whatever fits best for you and is most helpful at the time.
