Welcome to my profile,
I am passionate about ensuring therapy is accessible, flexible and tailored to each persons individual needs. I have a love of culture and languages having been raised cross culturally in England and Portugal. I am trained in Integrative Psychotherapy (2008), a therapy which recognises human beings capacity for growth, healing and self-regulation (balance/wholeness). I started my online practice in 2016 in order to widen accessibility of therapy and now provide remote therapy for university students, professionals, expatriates and NHS referrals.
I have predominately worked in the NHS, Wellbeing services and higher education supporting people who have experienced low mood, depression, worry, anxiety, panic as well as supporting people through relationship challenges such as domestic violence, affairs or divorce. Similarly, I work with grief, health issues and work related difficulties and other life transitions such as pregnancy, childbirth or other life changing events. Prior clients tell me I am compassionate, honest, culturally sensitive and down-to-earth in my approach.
I am currently completing my training in Counselling for Depression which is an innovative development in counselling and psychotherapy and focuses on emotional issues underlying depression as well as internal processes such as low self esteem.
In addition, I am undertaking clinical supervision training.
