AGM

This is your formal notice for the 2018 ACTO Annual General Meeting, to be held on Saturday 12th May from 10.00am to 12.00noon.  This is the first AGM of ACTO as a Company Limited as Guarantee. We would ask you to put this in your diary straight away.

The Board of Directors have decided, that to allow you more involvement in, and opportunity to ask questions, the AGM will be a live online event. This event will be held on Zoom, using videoconferencing.     Members will get an email on how to join the meeting and can find it on the closed forum.

  • The AGM will begin at 10.00am with a brief welcome from the Chair.
Followed by a CPD element for you as Pip Weitz (Research and Development and Director) and Victoria Sharman (Ethics and Standards Director) will be facilitating a one hour session ‘10 tips to implementing GDPR’ (General Data Protection Regulations), which as you know, come into law on 25th May.

  • At 11.00am the Directors will present their reports and the accounts, and there will be a courtesy, non-legal, vote for the members to signal their approval of the accounts.

The reports, development plan and accounts will also be made available in advance under ‘About Us’ on the ACTO website, for ten months, after which they will be moved to the members forum, to make way for the 2019 AGM.If you would like to vote by proxy, please let the ACTO Chair, Sarah Worley-James have your proxy via email (chair@acto-org.uk) by Thursday 10th May.

  • At 11.30am there will be a Q&A session.  To make the most of this time we request that members send their questions to members@acto-org.uk by Friday 27th April.  The Board will group the questions into themes to enable use to respond to as many as possible.

If we are unable to answer them all during the AGM, we will form full answers to send out via a newsletter; and some of your questions may form the basis for future FAQ’s on ACTO’s website.

  • 11.55 noon – brief closing remarks by the Chair

Members will get an email on how to join the meeting and can find it on the closed forum.
